Where Quilters Gather!

Browse our website and learn more about what's going on with theValley Oak Quilt Guild. If you are visiting the Tulare County area, please feel free to attend a meeting. The Guild has approximately 150 members and is always ready to add new members to the roster.

The purpose of the Valley Oak Quilt Guild is to preserve and continue the traditions, culture, and history of quilting, and promote fellowship among interested persons in all aspects of quilting.

The Valley Oak Quilt Guild was formed in February of 1986 with a group of 14 charter members. Five of those original members are still active today. The valley oak tree (Quercus lobata) logo was designed as a quilt block by Lois Hummell, and it has been used since that time. Suzanne Kistler appliqued and quilted the logo above specifically for this web site. Her efforts are greatly appreciated.
